Wavelet q-Fisher information Measure for signal analysis
Wavelet q-Fisher information was recently shown to be a suitable tool for scaling signal analysis in the article http://www.mdpi.com/1099-4300/14/8/1478. Wavelet q-Fisher information enhances the so-called wavelet Fisher information measure and generalizes it by incorporating a parameter q. Parameter q not only can adjust and refine the analysis, but also helps in associating to wavelet q-Fisher information potential applications for the analysis of scaling signals. Wavelet q-Fisher information can analyze EEG signals in order to better understand the characteristics and behaviour of the human brain. This technique can also be used to analyze ECG signals and in this context propose potential applications to treat in a suitable way heart-related diseases. There is much to do in both situations, but we believe that by the application of these tools significant improvements can be gained. CACICC Research group expects to apply and study these phenomena in the near future in conjuntion with brain graphs.
